Next Ladder Meeting: Strong Heart, Sick Heart – Listen, Teach and Learn

You see plenty of these kinds of hearts around Valentine’s Day…

…but what does a real heart, YOUR heart, actually look like? Maybe you’ve seen pics of the human heart, or even had to learn about the heart in school – which looks more like this:

But what’s the big deal about your heart anyway – is it really all that important?  Couldn’t you just get along without one? Oh right – without a heart, your blood would just sit there not going anywhere, which yeah – would be a pretty bad thing.

At the next meeting of the Ladder – some of our most knowledgeable Medical Scholars will tell us why the heart really is kind of a big deal, and will teach us ways to find out whether a heart is strong and mighty, or sick, weak and in trouble.

So bring your stethoscope if you’ve got one, or bring a friend if you don’t (or even if you do!), and join us for the next Ladder meeting (lunch will be provided!) on Saturday March 9 at 12:30pm at the UROC building (2001 Plymouth Ave N). The UROC building is reachable by Metro Transit bus routes 19, 32 & 7.

Here’s a link that has all of the info – print it, post it to your Twitter feed and Facebook pages, give it to your friends and neighbors!
